History of McDonald’s
Siblings Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the first McDonald’s store on 15 May 1940 in San Bernardino, California.
His father opened a food stand in Monrovia, California where he used to sell hamburgers. In 1940, he moved this restaurant to San Bernardino. Where he named it McDonald’s Bar-B-Q. And here they used to sell barbeque.
Soon he realized that people are liking Hamburgers more and his maximum profit is coming from Hamburgers only.
That’s why this company changed its menu and added hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, shakes, soft drinks, and apple pie to the new menu. Also changed the name of the restaurant to McDonald’s.
After this, franchising was started in 1952. In 1954, Ray Kroc bought its franchise. Due to this, its expansion started in the entire United States. By 1959, its total number of restaurants reached 102.
In 1961, Ray Kroc acquired McDonald’s outright. After which various types of changes were made in its menu. McChicken, chicken sandwiches, Chicken McNuggets were added to compete with big fast food chains like Burger King and Wendy’s.
In April 1988, McDonald’s opened its 10,000th restaurant. And 3,600 outlets were opened in 58 countries outside the USA.
According to the current statistics, McDonald’s has 119 more than 40,031 restaurants providing service. And more than 200,000 employees are contributing in running this company.

Here in Princeton WV, Stafford Drive McDonalds; I just paid $1.06 tax included for apple slices and they gave me one little pack containing about 4 slices of apple, I’ve purchased apple slices before and I normally get 2 little packs for the same amount I paid, am I missing something here!

There are coupons for egg mcmuffins and “sandwich of your choice with purchase.” That’s $3 to $4 Savings per order. That adds up since we visit 3 or 4 times a week.

McDonald’s lost it’s good customer service now everyone is rude and give attitude if they have to do there job,The dollar menu is a joke no matter what we get we could of got more for less at The Texas steakhouse! These might be the prices where your are, but in NYC at the mcdonald’s on Francis Lewis and willet point, the price goes up every 2 weeks.

A sundae used to be 2.50 back in April this year , then it was 3.50, the 4.25.
Now is 5.15 in November , for one. I’d buy 3 a week before. Which means they made 7.50 a week from me , now I wont buy one.

Everytime I order a soda or tea they charge me a drink up charge. But no one knows what the drink up charge is for? Was told one time when I ordered sweet tea that the drink upcharge was because tea is higher than sodas. Really!!@
So I started to order my sausage egg biscuit… 4,29 then I wanted a slice of cheese…. 6.79! So cheese is now 2.50… Absolutely ridiculous! Guess I’ll go home and throw a piece a cheese on my sandwich for what, like .10???
It really suck when you order 50 to 60 dollars worth of food and they can’t even get your order right and you tell the manager about it and they want to start yelling at you in front of the hole store and after 10 minutes of that they don’t want to give you different food cause the food you did get that wasn’t even right is fucking all cold WTF man I absolutely hate going there. And after all that it’s spending all that money they want to charge you $.15 for a freaking pack of hot mustard that should’ve been given to you anyway fuck that place.
Is it just me, or are McDonald’s fries not as good as they used to be? Maybe it’s because the prices have gone up, but I feel like the quality has gone down a bit. Still a classic fast food option though!
