History
On May 31, 1958, two brothers, Dan and Frank Carney, opened Pizza Hut Restaurant. Even at that time both were college students of Wichita State.
Borrowing $600 from their mother, the two brothers opened a small pizza restaurant in their hometown of Wichita, Kansas. They used Fresh Meat, Vegetables to make Pizza. Which became the reason for the success of Pizza Hut.
The Carney brothers opened their second restaurant in December this year. Due to the good response of the people, he opened Pizza Hut restaurants within a year.
Dan and Frank started Franchising in 1959. After which many of its branches were established at different locations. In November 1977, PepsiCo acquired Pizza Hut. But only after 20 years, PepsiCo separated Taco Bell and KFC along with Pizza Hut. And a new company named Tricon Global Restaurants Inc acquired all these three restaurant chains.
And by 1968, Pizza Hut opened more than 300 restaurants. In today’s time, Pizza Hut has opened 18,703 restaurants in 100 countries. Which serves more than 10 lakh pizzas per day. Accordingly, it has become the number one Pizza Brand in the world.
